Boston’s week long campaign to clear the streets and grot spots of Boston has been a great success! The Big Boston Clean Up lived up to its name and got hundreds of people involved in cleaning up the streets of the town. 477 volunteers rolled up their sleeves, collecting a staggering 660 bags of rubbish and litter from all around Boston town centre.

The line-up for Party in The Park 2008 is the most exciting the event has ever offered. There really is music for everyone including folk, blues, pop, rock, jazz, hip hop, indie, gospel, country and dance. This year the party takes place on 11th, 12th and 13th July in Central Park, Boston.

A fortnightly garden waste collection scheme will start on Saturday 5 April. Residents can bring their grass cuttings, hedge trimmings, leaves, weeds and other garden waste to the Council’s refuse lorries which will be located at various sites around the Borough every Saturday, when there isn’t a bank holiday. The scheme was offered last year as a trial and is back this year, bigger and better, after it proved extremely popular with residents.
