Improvements to Central Park
The following works are currently being carried out in Central Park to make it safer for people to enjoy.
Over the next few weeks, we will be removing the trees along the main avenue from Park Gate as some of these are diseased.
We are removing the shrubs along Tawney Street entrance in response to antisocial behaviour, this space needs to be cleaner so we will replace them with an avenue of trees.
The conifer trees will be removed because of the impact they are having on the park and its neighbours.
The hedge around the gardens has not established well so this will be removed to make it cleaner and more open for future improvement.
We are hoping to install some ornamental iron arches around the planter in the gardens, similar to Pilgrims Patch.
