Be in a Playgoers play
Ever fancied treading the boards? Boston Playgoers are looking for new faces for their October production of Habeas Corpus, a much-loved farce by Alan Bennett.
Auditions will be held on Tuesday, June 6, and Wednesday, June 7, at 7.30pm at Blackfriars Theatre in Boston. The play will be directed by Jo Warrick, who last directed Agatha Christie's The Hollow for the society in 2016.
Mismanaged lust, mistaken identity, dropped trousers...Habeas Corpus has all the ingredients of a classic farce, spiced with the warmth and humanity of Alan Bennett's razor-sharp wit. It originally starred Alec Guinness, Phyllida Law and Andrew Sachs.
Lots of different roles are available, both male and female, with ages ranging from 20 upwards. You do not have to be a member to audition. Playgoers are also looking for help backstage and help with the technical side of the production, so if you'd be interested in helping out of the limelight then please also come along or contact them.
