Another voice for women in business
Women play a vital role in the business life of Boston and the wider borough. A new group has been formed to help give women in business another voice and a chance to meet together to discuss subjects of mutual interest.
Women in Business was formed at the beginning of the year by Cllr Claire Rylott and Jayne Coddington, of Sills and Betteridge, solicitors with an office in Main Ridge, Boston.
Jayne specialises in all aspects of family law and financial remedy and is an accredited group family mediator.
Cllr Rylott is a farmer and a Cabinet member of Boston Borough Council with special responsibility for grounds and open spaces, leisure services, tourism and health and wellbeing.
Membership of the group has been growing, but more are welcome. For details contact Cllr Rylott at firstname.lastname@example.org
Claire and Jayne said they felt there was a need for a networking group in the town to meet every two months over lunch with a guest speaker and an open forum.
The next meeting will be on Friday, November 24 when guest speaker Emma Tatlow, Mayflower - National Visitor Project Manager, Destination Plymouth, will talk about celebrations planned for 2020 and how Boston will be involved.
The group meets six times a year on Fridays, noon to 2pm at the Boston and County Club. The cost is £11 for lunch and coffee.
