Switch now says TV's Martin Lewis

Finance experts, from Government to TV money-saving guru Martin Lewis, all agree that many can save hard-earned cash by switching suppliers.

Switching has never been easier and BIG savings can often be made by switching energy supplier.

"It's the midst of winter, the heating's on and bills are ballooning. So if you haven't already now's the time to sort your energy, " says Martin on his MoneySavingExpert.com website.

We have our own home-grown Lincolnshire Energy Switch scheme and "switchers" have made average savings of more than £200.

But you need to act quickly as the closing date is Tuesday, February 13, for the current scheme.

To register, all you need is your annual gas or electric statement or bills covering the last 12 months. Once you've registered your interest, energy suppliers will then be invited to compete with their best offers at an auction. Just visit  www.boston.gov.uk/LESS

It's open to all energy users, whether you are on dual fuel, electric only, pay monthly or quarterly or have a prepayment meter.

Personal offers stating the potential savings will be then sent to you and you could be saving hundreds of pounds with lower bills to pay.

If you're not able to register online, you can register at your local council or by calling 0800 048 8439 until 5.30pm on Monday, February 13.

There is no obligation for people to accept their personal offer, but if they do it's easy and straightforward and the new provider will take care of the whole process.

The scheme is organised by Boston Borough Council, City of Lincoln Council, East Lindsey District Council, Lincolnshire County Council, South Kesteven District Council, North Kesteven District Council and West Lindsey District Council and is administered by the UK's leading collective switching expert, iChoosr Ltd.
