Boston butcher hits top spot
Bycrofts of Boston's Dolphin Lane butcher's shop is among the latest to receive a top rating for food hygiene.
Partner Nigel Lote said the 5 grade gives his customers confidence in the fresh meat and, more importantly, the cooked meats, that they sell.
He said: "We have confidence in what we sell, with traceability from farm to fork, and now customers can have the same confidence across the board; especially where our cooked meats are concerned, because we prepare and cook them all ourselves."
He said they source locally whenever they can.
Others to receive the top 5 rating for food hygiene from Boston Borough Council are:
The Castle Inn, Wainfleet Road; Nic Services (Tesco staff canteen) Westbridge Road; The I Cafe, Boston College; Outpatients' Coffee Shop, Pilgrim Hospital; Pilgrim Pantry, Pilgrim Hospital; Kirton Town Hall; Andy's Fish and Chip Shop, Tattershall Road; Curry King, Station Road, Kirton; Denny's Pizza and Kebabs, Wrangle Bank; Pre-Sure Food Hut, Hoffleet Stow; Old Smoke (Mobile) Carlton Road; Tauras LT Ltd, West Street.
