Planning on being big in Japan
Students from Boston are working hard on the presentations to be performed when they visit Hakusan in Japan in the summer, and have also been busy planning more fundraising events to support their exchange trip.
They fly to Tokyo on July 15 for onward travel for their two-week stay in Hakusan.
Blackfriars Theatre and Arts Centre has agreed to help the students with their choreography.
Fundraising events coming up include:
- Fish 'n' Chip Supper and Race Night, Boston Conservative Club, Friday, February 1, from 7pm, tickets £10 including fish and chips, bar, 07713 277104.
- Car boot sales in Boston College car park, Skirbeck Road, on Sundays, April 7 and 28, May 19 and June 9 - set up from 7am, open at 8am, cars only, no booking required, £5 per pitch, contact 07713 277 104 for more information;
- 1940s tea dance on Saturday, April 27, 3pm to 6pm, Hubberts Bridge Community Centre, with Miss Sarah Jane, 1940s singer, in association with We'll Meet Again Second World War museum, tickets £10 from Matt on 07713 277104;

Students have planted a circle of oak and maple trees at Sir Joseph Banks Country Park to mark 25 years of friendship (1994-2019) between Boston and Hakusan City. Thanks to The Woodland Trust and Adrian Isaac for kindly donating time, labour and materials.
