Opportunity for local tradesman
Lincolnshire County Council in partnership with Boston Borough Council and other district councils are undertaking a new way of working with contractors to deliver adaptations through Disabled Facilities Grants.
Contractors can now apply to be included in the Lincolnshire Framework for the Supply of Adaptation Works under the Disabled Facilities Grants. The work will be let in seven different geographical lots, one for each of the county's district councils.
Contractors can apply to work within any of the district council areas. When expressing an interest in a particular geographical area, they should also indicate which of the following sub-lots of works they can deliver:
- Bathroom adaptations
- Internal works
- External works
- Concrete ramps
This framework will operate for a maximum of four years. It is therefore important if contractors wish to participate that they apply at this point as they will not be able to join the framework once it has commenced. The closing date for applications is currently Friday, March 15, 2019, at noon.
In order to support contractors through this process there will be a number of Supplier Engagement Sessions held across the county with officers from both Lincolnshire County Council and each of the district councils involved in the events. At this event they will be taken through the documentation and have the opportunity to ask any questions.
