You can be a councillor
Borough council elections will be held this May, and 17 prospective candidates now have more information about being a councillor after attending an informative meeting at Municipal Buildings.
A unique film, prepared in-house at Boston Borough Council, explaining how the council works, had its premiere and those thinking about standing for election had a question-and-answer session with existing councillors and senior officers.
They learned about the nomination and election process.
Nomination packs will be available from the Returning Officer at Municipal Buildings from Monday, March 4. Completed nomination forms may be submitted to the Returning Officer from Monday, March 25, until 4pm on Wednesday, April 3. This deadline is set in legislation and cannot be extended under any circumstances.
They can be returned anytime between 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday, but MUST be hand delivered to the Returning Officer at Municipal Buildings.
The election is on Thursday, May 2.
