Lincolnshire Youth Housing Strategy 2013 - 2018
The intention of this strategy is to tackle the main housing-related problems affecting young people in Lincolnshire.
The document below outlines the strategy for improving the integration of services to young people,
- improving the quality of and access to advice and information, to help prevent homelessness, and
- increasing the quality and quantity of housing and housing related support for young people aged 16-24 in Lincolnshire.
District Housing Authorities, Lincolnshire County Council and key partners and stakeholders have worked together to develop the Youth Housing Strategy for Lincolnshire. The Strategy provides an overview of the housing issues facing young people today and a vision for tackling them, as well as outlining how agencies will work together to create a co-ordinated approach to meeting the needs of young people who experience difficulties with housing.
A copy of the Strategy can be found in Related documents.
The Lincolnshire Homelessness Strategy Group have commissioned a short film on youth homelessness called 'Choices'. The film guides young people to help and support if they do become homeless but importantly it encourages young people to seek help at an earlier stage to prevent them becoming homeless.
