Council's focus for 2012 to 2015
Boston Borough Council has had its focus sharpened by the adoption of its four main priorities for 2012 to 2015.
In serving the town and borough it has pledged to:
- Revitalise and promote our town and borough
- Support safe, secure homes and neighbourhoods
- Promote greener and healthier communities
- Deliver better council services with less money
The priorities will form the basis of the council's service and work plans for the coming years. Please see document below for the full version of the Corporate Plan so you can see how the work of the council will contribute to the continued development of services.
Main aims will include: Improving the town centre, supporting rural communities, improving prospects for business investment and employment, promoting tourism, supporting new homes for local need, reducing flood risk, promoting healthier lifestyles, reducing litter, reducing the council's carbon footprint, making services more efficient, working with Government to better understand the impacts of immigration and continuing to press for more Government funding to take account of population increase.
