Battle of Britain services

This year's Battle of Britain Sunday Service and Parade will be held in Boston on September 16 at St Botolph's church (Boston Stump).

 The service will begin at 11.30am The Mayoral party, including Wing Commander Brooker, of RAF Coningsby, Mr Bob Cory, President of the Boston branch of the Royal Air Forces Association, presidents of the ex-service organisations, deputy chief  executive and members of Boston Borough Council will be led by Inspector Rimmer to the saluting base positioned in the Market Place.

From there the Mayor, Cllr Colin Brotherton, Wing Commander Brooker, Mr Cory, the deputy chief executive and the team rector will take the salute. During the march past there will be a Spitfire fly past at 12.35pm. The RAF Ensign will be flying from the Assembly Rooms during this week until after Sunday in memory of this.

On the Battle of Britain day itself Saturday, September 15, Boston branch of the Royal Air Forces Association will be holding their normal service at the War Memorial at 11am.
