Surface water flood warning for Tuesday

The Met Office and the Environment Agency have issued a "yellow warning" for the possibility of heavy rain tomorrow morning or early afternoon (Tuesday).

In some areas up to 30mm may fall in two hours. Some of these may be particularly heavy, giving rise to localised instances of minor surface water flooding.

Anyone experiencing any flooding should contact the highways duty officer on 01522 782070.

Later on Wednesday and into Thursday, heavy rain may move into eastern parts of England. However confidence in the detail is currently low and therefore the overall flood risk is currently "very low".

The river flood risk is "very low" for the next five days.

The coastal flood risk is "very low" for the next five days.

The groundwater flood risk is "very low" for the next five days.
