National Allotment Week was marked in Boston with an allotment gardening and grow your own drop-in session at the Community Rooms in Strait Bargate on Wednesday (August 6).
Age UK and Boston Borough Council organised the event at which free advice was offered by gardening experts from allotments on Toot Lane, Willoughby Road and Witham Way.
Free teas, coffees and biscuits were available and Master Gardener Co-ordinator Rick Aaron was also on hand to give advice and information.
Deborah Broadley came along from Boston Mayflower and prepared some healthy nibbles for people to taste. The Health Trainers were also there to support people who want to make healthy changes in their lifestyles.
Transported Art showcased photography from their Transported Allotment project.
