Boston Strategic Health Group
The Boston Strategic Health Group brings together key partners including Lincolnshire East Clinical Commissioning Group (Local GPs), Lincolnshire County Council Public Health, Boston Borough Council, Boston Mayflower and Lincolnshire CVS.
The Group was established to determine the health and wellbeing priorities for the Borough of Boston and also to support the Lincolnshire Health and Wellbeing Board and local providers of health and wellbeing related services in commissioning services tailored to meet Boston's specific health needs.
A Boston Health and Wellbeing Strategic Framework has been produced and is available at the end of this page which has identified the priority areas for action over the next 3 years in order to address the inequalities, health needs and outcomes. The priorities align with the strategic themes contained within the Lincolnshire Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy.
The priority areas are:-
- Promoting healthier lifestyles in Boston
- Improving the health and wellbeing of older people in Boston
- Addressing the housing and financial capability issues that most affect the health and wellbeing of people living in Boston
In order to deliver these priorities, an action plan has been developed focusing on prevention and better collaboration between partners. The action plan articulates what the Borough Council and its partners will do to tackle local health priorities over the 3 year period.
