Skirbeck Road and Fishtoft Road closures

Improvements are to be carried out on Skirbeck Road and Fishtoft Road in Boston.

Closures will be in place on Skirbeck Road and Fishtoft Road from Monday, February 16, for one week, while essential works are carried out.

The roads will be closed to through traffic from the junction of Skirbeck Road with South End to the junction of Fishtoft Road with Kingsway.

During this time there will be no access from Church Road on to Fishtoft Road. However, routes will be open to traffic between 7pm to 7am.

Access will be available to properties within the closure either from South End for properties on Skirbeck Road or from Kingsway for properties on Fishtoft Road. No access will be available for through traffic or for traffic from Church Road.

Diversion routes will be in place from Fishtoft Road via Kingsway, Wellington Road, Forbes Road, Freiston Road, Vauxhall Road, Main Ridge East, John Adams Way to South End and vice versa.

Andy Wharff, area highways manager, said: "These essential works will see carriageway patching, safety barrier replacement on Mount Bridge and junction improvements to Church Road.

"To minimise disruption, the maintenance works are being coordinated together and also being carried out through the school half term."
