CHANGES TO LANDLORDS FORUMS THROUGHOUT LINCOLNSHIRE

Following discussions between Lincolnshire Local Authorities, agreements has been reached to joint host Landlords Forums across the County.  This will result in two forums being held on the same day in different locations and at different times.  The next Forums will be held on 12 October 2010, with South Kesteven District Council in Grantham hosting the first event at 2pm and Boston Borough Council in Boston at 7pm.  It is hoped that the same speakers will attend both Forums, and thus provide greater opportunity for landlords to attend forums at times and locations more convenient to them.

Also as part of the joint working, a new landlords website is being formulated.  This will include an electronic newsletter produced bi-monthly to update landlords on changes in legislation and matters at county level.  DASH/EMLAS are assisting with drawing up the newsletter and website, which will be a micro-site hosted by Lincolnshire County Council.  We hope that landlords will register to receive the newsletter, which will include details of future forums.  For more information on DASH/EMLAS please see the website

The NAEA (National Association of Estate Agents) is arranging a forum regarding a number of issues that will be of interest to landlords and agents, including issues regarding rented accommodation and the new Housing Act.
