Consultations

We carry out consultations with the public on a regular basis. Download the Consultation Toolkit for more details. We are developing a schedule of consultations and we will be updating this web page with a list of planned consultations. If you would like to be involved in future consultations then please fill in the Citizens Panel form. Boston Borough Council is committed to listening to the public and improving its services. We are also carrying out a series of Placecheck projects, working with residents to improve their neighbourhoods.

As part of the consultation process we might ask you details about your age, gender, religion or faith, sexual orientation, disability and ethnicity. We might also ask about your employment status, or what area you live in. The reason we ask these questions is so that we can improve services, and ensure that we providing these services where they are most needed. If you have any concerns about the questions we ask please look at this leaflet entitled, What's It Got To Do With You? which explains why councils ask for information about you.

Council Tax - Draft Policy Consultation

The Council is asking for people’s views on a new policy which will decide how the Council should deal with applications to reduce a person’s Council Tax liability.
Under Section 13A of the Local Government Finance Act 1992 local authorities may reduce the amount that a person has to pay.
The draft policy is available to download.
