Shopmobility is a scheme, which allows those with mobility problems, both temporary and long term, to access shops and facilities more easily.
The scheme operates Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 9.00am-4.30pm in Boston (based close to The Len Medlock Voluntary Centre, St George’s Road, Boston, near the Bus Station and public Car Park). Also each Monday and Thursday a specially adapted vehicle will take a range of three and four wheeled mobility scooters, manual wheelchairs and a power wheelchair (staff will provide training to ensure that people are confident in using the equipment) to locations across the Borough of Boston and parts of East Lindsey. Please enquire with Boston Community Transport for further details.
There is an annual membership fee of £5 and a cost of £2 per session. Visitors are charged £3 per session. Although you don't need to book a scooter or wheelchair it is advisable. Please telephone 01205 315936.
