Elected on 3rd May 2007, Councillor Alison Austin is Chairman of the Planning Commitee and a Member of the Overview and Scrutiny - Policy & Projects Committee, Overview and Scrutiny - Performance Review Committee, Licensing/Regulatory and Appeals Committee and Boston Town Area Committee.

Councillor Austin also represents the Council on the Fens Tourism Group, the Local Government Association's Rural Commission,  the Sir Thomas Middlecott and Other Charity Trust (Skirbeck Quarter Charities), the Wash and North Norfolk Coast Special Area of Conservation Members Group, the Wash Estuary Strategy Members Group and the Boston Grammar School Foundation Governors.
