Business Rates - Freedom of Information Act

We receive a number of requests for information relating to Business Rates accounts. In order for you to obtain the information faster and remove the need to make a formal request, we will publish details of the most frequently requested information on this page quarterly.

The requests covered are listed below:

• Accounts in credit
• New accounts raised in the previous quarter
• All accounts including mandatory and discretionary rate relief

We are unable to supply details of individuals as this constitutes personal data, as defined by the Data Protection Act 2018; and is exempt from disclosure by virtue of Section 40(2)(a)(i) (Personal Information) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
