Still time to get your hands on a grand

There is still time for residents and community groups from the Boston Big Local area to get their hands on up to £1,000 Community Chest funding.

This round's deadline is Monday, October 31, at 6pm and will be decided by a panel of residents within the local area.

Grants of up to £1,000 are available as long as the project or idea meets one of the four Boston Big Local priorities: Improving health and wellbeing; creating a more attractive environment; building community spirit and encouraging enterprise.

Mr. Jody Raggo, Boston Big Local resident and facilitator of the Community Chest said: "Some residents and community groups I've spoken to think there is some kind of catch and don't believe they can apply for up to £1,000. There is no catch and if any group or individual has an idea that they would like to get off the ground but need some money to make it happen, I would encourage them to apply. If you don't know where to start or would like some help, I can help with that too."

Would you like to be the next lucky "Cheque Mate" and be awarded up to £1000 of Community Chest funding? Request a copy of the Community Chest Application Form and Guidance Notes by contacting Community Chest Facilitator, Mr Jody Raggo, on 07903 857 263 or via email bblcommunitychest@gmail.com. The Community Chest is now available for residents, community groups and charities who have an idea or project that can be of benefit to within the Boston Big Local area and meet at least one of its priorities.
