Shop windows with festive feel

Boston businesses in festive mood had their dressed to impress shop windows judged for the annual borough council-sponsored competition.

Judges Cllr Paul Skinner, Clive Gibbon, the council's new economic development manager, and museum officer Polly Wilkinson, visited the 24 entries with their clipboards.

Results are:

The winners will each receive  a trophy which they hold for a year, a certificate and a donation of £75 to the charity of their choice.  Those placed 2nd and 3rd placed in each category will each receive a highly commended certificate.

Feedback from the judges was very positive, noting the use of hand-crafted decorations in some and how everyone had clearly thought about how to arrange the windows and that each display was very individual.
