Housing Benefit payment problem

Unfortunately due to a technical problem we have had issues with raising Housing Benefit payments to some of our customers.

The amount of weekly award has been unaffected by this problem but it has meant that some of our customers may receive a payment earlier than normal and others will receive it a week later than normal. Once a payment has been received the next payment issued for all of these affected accounts will be processed on Friday, January 27, 2017 and then 4 weekly thereafter.

We offer our sincere apologies for any inconvenience or difficulty this may cause. We have contacted our larger Landlords to make them aware of the issue and to allow a further week for some payments to be received. If you normally receive your Housing Benefit directly and you have not received it by Wednesday, January 25 then you may be affected. If you are unsure then you can contact us on 314202 and we will check your account to see when your next payment will be released. Once again we offer our sincere apologies.
