Choices film to help prevent youth homelessness
A film commissioned by the Lincolnshire Homeless Strategy Group, which Boston Borough Council has representation on, aims to help young people at risk of becoming homeless and support those who do end up on the streets.
'Choices' highlights some of the myths surrounding youth homelessness; tries to help prevent young people becoming homeless and guides young people to help and support if they do become homeless.
The aim of the film is to:
● Show some of the different reasons why young people can become homeless;
● For young people to think about choices they make and the consequences;
● Think twice before leaving home on whether or not it is the best option and;
● First seek help and support, where possible.
The main message is to encourage people to seek help at an earlier stage.
