Commenting on a planning application
You are able to comment on current applications by ;
E-mail - firstname.lastname@example.org
Post - Planning Services, Boston Borough Council, Municipal Buildings, West Street, Boston, PE21 8QR
When commenting on an application you should bear in mind that planning is about the use of land and the control of development for the public interest, e.g. what a new building looks like in the street, the effects of an access on highway safety, the general appearance of the countryside, economic benefits accruing to the area etc. Private interests like property values, and competition between companies for instance will rarely affect a decision.
As a result of negotiations the submitted details may change and only if the changes are significant will this application be re-advertised.
Please be aware that if you submit any comments they will be available for public inspection and may be passed to the applicant so that they might seek to address objections. However, by virtue of the Data Protection Act 1998 only your address would be publically accessible and all other personal contact information (email address, telephone number, for example) will remain confidential. If you feel that additional controls need to be put in place to protect your details, please make this clear in your reply along with a reason. Anonymous representations are not taken into account since they cannot be acknowledged.
Boston Borough Council does not display neighbour responses/objections on the Planning Register, however, they are available for viewing on request via e-mail to email@example.com.
This site includes only those records which the Borough Council hold on computer, and is not therefore a complete database of all information held by the Council. While the Borough Council take great care to ensure that the information provided on this site is accurate, we cannot accept any liability or responsibility should you rely on the information provided and ultimately find it to have been incorrect.
